Screened by a 27-meter-long perforated wall, Casa Pasqua is a single-family country house in Porto Feliz, Brazil. Designed by architect Marcio Kogan, it features his trademark clean sightlines and an openness of structure balanced with thick-walled, more intimate private spaces. The perforated wall creates a constantly shifting play of sunlight and shadow throughout the day and natural through-ventilation during the summer. Large glass panels form the main living area and can be drawn back completely to connect the interior with the pool deck and the surrounding landscape. (The great daybeds by the pool are by Franccino Giardini).

HIS/HERS

The Falmer wardrobe is by the freshly-launched company, Revised, and comes in His and Hers versions. Designed by Sjoerd Vroonland, the circular detail on the His door acts as a sturdy coat hook while the same detail on the Hers variation hides a revolving vanity mirror.

Fresh for SS18, Tom Dixon Studio has instituted a startling and graphic refresh of his material and colour palette. Originally in brass and copper tones – an industry-wide trend for the past few years – Dixon’s iconic lighting and furniture has been re-imagined in gloss black and precise stainless steel, enlivened with a jolt of 80s electric blue, evoking Space Race era satellites.

The Neutra is an outdoor easy chair by Vincent Van Duysen for Tribu. Its thin, laid-back profile is achieved using aluminium high-pressure injection and is completely weldless. Perfect for relaxing poolside, it comes bare or with slim, weather-resistant pads. Too good solely for outdoors, bring it inside during cooler months as a favourite reading chair.
