Barcode is a collection of outdoor furniture by Alessandro Dubini for Varaschin. Crafted from smooth certified teak, the staves on the loungers and tables are of varied widths, evoking the linear pattern of barcodes. The loungers are adjustable to four positions (from ‘reading’ to ‘snoozing’) and can be accessorised with a range of weatherproof cushions.

On the Greek island of Mykonos, San Giorgio is nestled in a scenic idyll between Paradise and Paranga beaches. A member of Design Hotels™, it may be a pebble's throw away from fashionable beach clubs but its aesthetic of honest materials paired with high-end finish provides a relaxed escape. From the Basico rooms in the gardens to the Veranda and Grande Suites, the rustic minimalism is all about paired-back living with an emphasis on connection with sea and sky.

Your space can never have too much foliage and the evergreen trend for botanics can also extend to your walls. These prints, available from Ross & Brown, are by watercolour artist Maaike Koster. Detailed and delicate, they depict a wide range of different species and each limited edition print is numbered. Freshen a naked wall or use as a backdrop to existing plants to visually extend your urban jungle.
'No two materials are alike. No two sites on earth are alike. No two buildings have the same purpose. The purpose, the site, the material determine the shape. Nothing can be reasonable or beautiful unless it’s made by one central idea, and the idea sets every detail. A building is alive, like a man.'
